Business process improvement refers to efforts made to comprehend the existing process and make enhancements based on that. Every single business out there can use improvement in some sort of way, shape or form. Just like no person is perfect, no business is either. Some ways a business can progress is by getting rid of repeats and by advancing effectiveness and efficiency. This means getting things done faster, easier and most importantly less costly. The ability to do this in a timely manner is also referred to as sensitivity.

The term Business process reengineering refers to the study and redesign of workflow within and between activities. It presumes that the current process is unrelated, faulty or doesn’t work, and must be recreated from the beginning. This allows designers to disengage to work on an entirely new process rather than make additions to an existing one.

Some questions one may consider before they select a process to reengineer are:

                        - What is wrong with the current process?

                        - Will reengineering or recreating the process be achievable?

                        - What kind of impact will the new process have on customers?

                        - Will amending this process increase revenue and profits?

Business process modeling is taking the steps to construct a comprehensive flow chart or sequence of processes that shows each individual job, contribution and action in an arrangement series. The actual business process model is a vivid and detailed explanation of each process, which illustrates the arrangement of process tasks.

Lastly, the business process management incorporates all business processes to make each process more successful. It’s just like a puzzle, every piece has to be in order for it to be complete.
